When we first learn to teach TRE our primary focus is generally on ensuring safety - by responding to signs of psycho-emotional overwhelm before they escalate into freezing, flooding, or dissociation - then teaching people how to do that for themselves.
As our skills develop & we begin to recognise more subtle somatic markers of physiological overwhelm - areas of the body that are guarding against the tremors - we get better at facilitating the process so that more movement can arise with less stress & drama.
The final stage of our journey as Providers is when we move beyond simply facilitating the emergence of autogenic movement & begin to work directly with the quality of the movements themselves - recognising when the movements are subtly limited or contained – & using our skills to improve their quality & freedom of expression.
This is the art of working with movement quality in TRE - not just supporting the emergence of autogenic tremors - but supporting the organism beyond its protective edges & facilitating the movements into greater coherence & a fuller expression of freedom & flow.
This masterclass recording is broken in to 2 sections:
- section 1 is a 45 minute theory presentation including video examples & the principles of observing & working with movement quality in TRE
- section 2 is 50 minutes consisting of 3 live demonstrations of individual tremor sessions specifically focussed on observing & working with the movement quality during the TRE session
